The Media section of PANDORA Library is all about the marketing material of PANDORA which are stored here as images, files, video, sounds, etc. The MEDIA section works like many online image libraries that you may know. What makes the library special is that all items contain as much information about products, the file itself and the relations between images. This will help you as marketer to easily find what you are looking for and it allows you to have up to date information on PANDORA products and campaigns.

This section of the help function covers the following topics:

Access to the MEDIA



The MEDIA section within PANDORA library is open to all users that have access to the application. All users can view the basic information, however some areas and functionality is restricted. This is to enforce copyright restrictions, maintain brand consistency and ensure competitive sensitive information doesn’t get exposed.



PANDORA Library is a web-based application that means that it works like many websites that you know.

There are two main navigation options in PANDORA Library:
1. The classification structure on the left side of the screen.
2. The “polaroid images” in the main window.

Classification Structure



The classification structure works are groupings of media files, which are placed into a hierarchy. You can click and drill down within the classifications to find the selection of files that you are interested in. There is a security restriction in place so not all users can see the entire hierarchy.

To navigate within the classification structure you have the following options:
1. You can click on the arrow to expand to view sub elements of a topic or you can click to collapse the classification structure.
2. You can click on the classification name to access the files within the classification. The items that part of the classification are displayed in the main window of MEDIA.


Polaroid Images



All content of MEDIA is organized in classifications. The content of a classification can be viewed via a Polaroid image in the main window of media. There are two types visible in the main window:

Stacked Polaroid images: this indicates that you are looking at a classification and that there are more groupings below this topic. To view the sub classifications you can click on the left classification structure or on the Polaroid.

Single Polaroid image: this is a single asset, or content element within PANDORA Library Media. You have navigated to the lowest level. From this point you can view the details of the product or image, enlarge the item or download it to your local folder.



Image Types



The file types, such as images, video’s and InDesign files, within PANDORA Library are diverse. Also, there is a vast collection of images that can also be categorized in more sub divisions. These categories are the most common images within PANDORA Library however more categories can be applicable such as staff, POS, production, etc. To do so allows you to quickly find the right image that you need for creating your marketing material. The image types are sub folders under a campaign classification and consistently throughout the application you will see this separation of image files. The meaning of each image type is given below:

Key MEDIA functionality



When you browse through MEDIA, a standard set of functionality is available at the top of the window. The availability of these functions can differ depending on your assigned rights as a user. The functionality available in PANDORA Library MEDIA is explained in the table below:

Available options per MEDIA item



On a single content element within PANDORA Library Media you have different options available to work with the item. These options are displayed when you hover over the item with your mouse. The options are visible in the top left corner of the single Polaroid’s.

Asset Magnifier: A new windows is opened and shows the detail view of the asset. The detailed view holds all product and media information of a content element.

Direct Download: Here you can directly download the item. When clicked the download options are given to select your download format.

Add to Basket: When you click this button the item will be added to your basket. In your basket all items will be collected until you are finished browsing.
